What clothes should I wear?
Acapulco is synonymous of sun and sea; therefore keep enough room in your luggage for bathing suits, t-shirts, sandals, short pants, caps and other light wear that will be indispensable for your days at the beach. Also carry a good arsenal of sun blockers and protective creams.
And since your stay at Acapulco would not be complete if you do not visit the spectacular discotheques, do not forget to put some more formal clothes in your luggage, because you are not welcome at the entertainment centres wearing short pants, sandals or sneakers.

Which are the working hours for offices and shopping malls?
Offices in Acapulco attend to the public Mondays through Fridays from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with a two hour break for lunch. Attending hours are pretty much the same in the case of shops and stores, which operate all working days from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, except for the ones located at the main avenues which usually close their doors at 10:00 PM.
In the case of the banks, they open their doors Mondays through Fridays, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. None but a few agencies work during the weekend.

Will I be able to reach my country through the telephone or the Internet?
Yes indeed. It is very easy to make long distance calls, national and international, from the public telephones. You only need some coins or a special calling card, which can be purchased at the supermarkets, stores and newspaper stands.
It is not a bad idea to make collect phone calls, for the Mexican telephone rates are higher than those of other countries.
Moreover, you can call abroad from the hotels, but bear in mind that the price will be a little higher.

Yes, Acapulco has traffic problems during the high season (from December to Easter) only, when the streets and avenues show a bit of congestion, However, the vehicular entanglements do not turn into chaos, thus a little bit of patience is enough to overcome the traffic jam. Driving is a pleasure during the rest of the year.
