To submerge in the waters of the “aquarium of the world”, as Jacques Cousteau called the Sea of Cortes, is an experience so wonderful it seems unreal. It is a fantastic journey through deep canyons and submarine mountains that are the habitat of approximately 800 fish species.
Those diving in these waters privileged by nature can come face to face with huge stingrays, friendly sea lions and amusing dolphins, though also with fierce hammerhead sharks, schools of tuna fish and groupers, and even with a huge whale if there is any luck.
It is possible to leave aside the scuba gear and to adventure on snorkelling due to the clarity of its waters. You only need flippers, a mask and a snorkel for this activity to fully enjoy the submarine adventure.
