-Archaeological Museum of Cancun: Administered
by the National Institute of Anthropology and History (INAH), it
exhibits the valuable pieces found at the archaeological excavations
realised at the pre-Hispanic settlements of the state of Quintana
Roo; amongst them vestiges and Mayan objects over 1000 years old.
Likewise, it has a library specialised on archaeology and history
of the Mayan civilization. The museum is at the 9 kilometre signpost
of the Kukulcan Boulevard.
-Hotel Zone: It is a paradisiacal coastal fringe
23 kilometres long, in which over 50 deluxe hotels are present.
It is the tourist centre of
Cancun, a place in
which comfort is venerated and where everything is designed to offer
the traveller a pleasant stay. Watching the facades of the hotels
is enough to start to enjoy them. Some display inclined walls which
resemble the classical lines of the Mayan pyramids; whilst others

aquariums in the continent. A place that enables knowing the fascinating
species inhabiting the depths of the Caribbean Sea, wherein you
can watch a great variety of multicolour fishes and corals, besides
skates, sea-urchins, amongst others.
But the biggest attraction of the aquarium is its program for swimming with dolphins, an unparalleled and singular experience open to adults and minors.
The aquarium is located at the Shopping Village Island, at the kilometre 12.5 of the Hotel Zone.
-Kukulkan Plaza: With a 60000 square metre extension,
it is the biggest shopping mall in
Cancun. It has
over 250 stores and boutiques of the most renowned firms of the
world. The commercial offer is completed by exclusive restaurants
and multiplex cinemas, as well as recreation centres in which fun
and relaxation rule. It is in the middle of the Hotel Zone.
-Caracol Plaza: It is a large shopping mall with
over 200 stores, amongst which we find boutiques with the best brands
in the world, art galleries, and jewellery and perfumery stores,
besides the best bars and restaurants, amid other facilities which
offer not only excellent goods but also a warm and cordial treatment.
This commercial giant is at the Kukulkan Boulevard, at the kilometre 8.5 of the Hotel Zone.
-Ki-Huic Market: It is a craftsmanship centre in
which leatherworks, hats and wood sculptures are offered. It is
Ideal for acquiring souvenirs to perpetuate your visit to this corner
in Mexico. However, bargain for the price before buying. It is at
the Tulum Avenue, a few blocks away from the Hotel Zone.
