Artworks made by the students of the School of Painting, Sculpture and Handicraft of the Juarez University, in the State of Durango (UJED), are on exhibition at the museum, which has a playroom and a centre to support craftsmanship.

Collection of Paintings (Pinacoteca): it houses a vast collection of canvases from the XVI and XVII centuries; and most of the works are inspired on religious themes and are characterised by their high artistic value, being the most important a tapestry of Flemish manufacture titled The Garden of the Unicorn (from the XVI or XVII century), and a Painting of Ghosts representing the Final Judgement.
The collection is composed of paintings brought here from the former Ferreria Hacienda, the House of Government, and the Secretariat for Education, Culture and Sport.

Cinema Theme Museum: old movie cameras, memorable still photos, and a series of curious tips regarding the films rolled in Durango, are the treasure of this museum that was created thanks to the agreement amongst the Government of the State, the Direction of Tourism and Cinematography, the Institute of Culture and the University of Juarez.
The three stages involved in the process of making a movie: preproduction, filming and postproduction, are on exhibition in the museum. There are also photomontages of the films that have contributed to the changes on the values of this society on display.
Montages and guided tours are offered in its installations with a previous reservation.

Museum of Cinema: all the secrets and the cinematographic history of Durango are exhibited in its five rooms oriented towards the origins of filming, the most renowned characters, the arrival of the first projector and information related to the movies shot in here.
The museum has halls for temporary exhibitions, a projection room and a playful space; besides, its offers the service of video rental, which is integrated by videos in excellent conditions.

Museum of the Children: it is a recreational and entertaining place where the mission is to learn while playing; its modern installations were designed to foment the interest for knowledge and creativity amongst the little ones.
They can go on virtual voyages across the space to visit planets and constellations located at thousands of light years away, go on tours inside the human body, and also be part of an expedition searching for flora and fauna of the state, without ever leaving the museum.
