Manzanillo, the "Emerald of the Pacific", is located in the bay of the State of Colima, at 1290 kilometres from Mexico City, the capital of the country. In order to reach this fan of refreshing beaches and luring sands, you can choose amongst the following alternatives:
- By air: the Playa de Oro International Airport is situated at 44 kilometres from downtown Manzanillo and 35 kilometres away from the Hotel Zone. It gets flights coming from the United States, Canada and the main cities of the country. The flight from Mexico City takes one hour and 15 minutes.
- By land: the trip from Mexico City lasts 14 hours, approximately. The buses covering the route set off at the Norte Terminal on 4907 Cien Metros Avenue. The vehicles go along Colima, the capital of the homonymous state, before arriving on the coast.
On the other hand, Manzanillo is interconnected with the main western Mexican cities through the system of federal highways.
- By sea: Manzanillo was the third Spanish seaport in the Pacific and nowadays it is one of the most important in Mexico. Several cruiser anchor at its docks throughout the year.
