Will I have any problem exchanging my dollars or paying with them?
No, you will have no problems in exchanging your US and Canadian dollars or euros in Manzanillo. However, take into account that the exchange rates are free and may vary a few points from one day to another.
It is not recommendable to exchange dollars or euros in the black market; although the rates are higher that those at the established exchange offices, you take the risk of getting counterfeits.
On the other hand, most of the commercial establishments have no inconvenient in taking dollars, US and Canadian, and euros as a means of payment. However, it is always advisable to carry some cash in local currency.
Also take into consideration that banks work Mondays through Fridays from 9:00 hours till 15:00 hours, but they only exchange money until 13:00 hours. The exchange offices offer more working hours and a fast and efficient service.

Will my credit cards be taken?
Yes, they will be accepted with no problem in almost every shopping mall and tourist establishment in Manzanillo, such as travel agencies, hotels and restaurants. The most accepted credit cards are Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Diners Club.
