MEXICO CITYCLIMATE AND WEATHER
It is neither intensely cold nor
exaggeratedly warm, weather in Mexico City presents
moderate temperatures with an annual average of 16º C, and this
lukewarm weather is courtesy of its 2250 metres above sea level,
and of the geography protecting it from excessive winds and humidity.
Summer's warmest months are April and May, when thermometers reach temperatures of up to 31º C, but not everything is sun in the Aztec capital, because there are sporadic storms, which do not pose a real threat if one takes precautionary measures, in July and August. Winter is between December and February with average temperatures of 20º C during the day; although it drops up to 0º C during the night.
Tourist high season coincides with the dry season, from November
to June; however, it is not foolish to visit Mexico City
during the rainy season; because, although precipitations come in
the form of torrential rain showers, they usually do not last long.
