BEACHES IN NUEVO VALLARTA
-Sayulita, This beach is ideal for rookie surfers,
it is ideal for those guys that are just beginning to understand
the strength of the waves. In the beach exists a very comfortable
camping site that will allow the traveller to have a long lasting
contact with the Pacific Ocean. It is located sideways to the Roadway
200.
-El Anclote, its clear and warm waters are inviting
and rejoicing, while its finely grid and welcoming sands are perfect
to rest or to stretch upon. These are only some of the relaxing
options to perform on a beach that is also prodigal with wildlife,
due to the constant presence of dozens of coastal birds and the
sporadic visit of turtles and giant rays.
Within the area of El Anclote, the visitor will find a well assorted number of restaurants, in which it will be an easy task to indulge yourself with the well served dishes based on fish and seafood. The prices are accessible to all budgets and will vary according to the elected restaurant. This beach is located at 22 kilometres from Bucerías, along the Roadway 200.
-Punta de Burro, is a small beach framed by rock
outcroppings, but showing huge and thunderous waves that allow the
practicing of surfing all around the year. The delightful Marietas
Islands can be clearly seen from here. It is sited between Huanacaxtle
and Punta Mita and to access this place the traveller will have
to go through the Roadway 200.
-Destiladeras, is a large beach of finely grained
white sands, wherein the wind is only felt as a muted whisper. Aficionados
and experts will be happy to surf on its waves, with the confidence
of always being able to reach the intensity and the adrenaline doses
they seek within the surfing of the waves. Windsurf and snorkel
diving are some of the other sports that can be practised in its
waters.
It is located between Punta de Burro and the Cruz de Huanacaxtle, along the road that goes to Punta Mita. The beach also offers other facilities as parking lots and several restaurants.
-La Manzanilla, wherein its steady waters the visitor
can practise some exiting swimming within an absolute safety, features
that had vowed for making it one of the most visited beaches of
Nuevo Vallarta.
Close by to the beach, there is a small fishermen town where you will be able to hire a motorboat to go by an area of the Pacific Ocean where are abundant numbers of tuna fish and dorados among many other fish species.
It is located besides the Cruz de Huanacaxtle, at a 15 minute distance from Nuevo Vallarta. The access route goes through roadway 200, leaving this road at the detour to Manzanilla just prior to arriving to Punta Mita,.
-Emiliano Zapata, a solitary and silent beach,
perfect for camping and for escaping from the rush of the modern
world. Here, the tourist will be able to fully enjoy the sea without
any kind of commotions, let aside the comings and goings from the
usual dozens of bathers.
To visit it you will have to drive by the Roadway 200 and, just before reaching Punta Mita, you will have to change direction into the cobbled detour that dies at the shores of this beach.
-Higuera Blanca, is a lonely beach only visited
by those who practise kite-surfing or fly-surfing, an exciting activity
that combines nautical and aerial sports, in which the hands of
the surfer have to be tightly clasped to a cord that manoeuvres
a wind driven kite (like a small para-glider), while its feet are
fixed upon a small board with which he can perform some extreme
figures on the top of the waves. To arrive to this place, you will
have to go by the Roadway 200 and then take the detour to Cruz de
Huanacaxtle. Thereafter, within a 15 minute drive, a sign post announces
the proximity of Higuera Blanca. For looking at the sea you will
have to twist to your right side.
