Archaeological Museum of Palenque
It exhibits the objects found during the excavations of this Mayan compound. It was inaugurated in 1993 and has two rooms, with the first one holding an attractive collection of almost 260 objects, amongst ceramics, stone works, and others made of small bones and seashells. Most of them have a profound sense of religiosity.
The second room depicts the details and phases of the archaeological studies carried out in the zone since the XVIII century through illustrations, documents and other objects, as well as information regarding travellers, explorers and investigators who participated on this task.
Address: it is located at 1.5 kilometres from the Archaeological Compound of Palenque.
Working hours: Mondays through Sundays from 8:00 hours to 18:00 hours.
