The State of
Chiapas
can be accessed by air and by land; there is a highway in good conditions
connecting the City of Mexico with
Tuxla Gutierrez,
the capital of
Chiapas. If you are looking for
something more comfortable, you can board one of the planes landing
at the local airport.

the State of Chiapas, gets flights coming from the City of Mexico;
the flight lasts just one hour and 20 minutes.
- By land: the capital of the State of Chiapas, Tuxla
Gutierrez, is 1080 kilometres away from the City of Mexico.
The trip lasts about 14 hours and the bus ticket costs 40 dollars,
approximately. Most of the units providing the service are equipped
with air conditioner, television and bathroom.

If you are planning on renting a car or on driving your own vehicle, you have to take the Pan American Highway (known also as 190). It is advisable to drive during the day, because gas stations are usually closed at night and it is very hard to find mechanic assistance in the area.
