TUXTLA GUTIERREZTRANSPORT
Going from one part to another
discovering the beauties of Tuxtla Gutierrez, the
capital of the State of Chiapas, is not a complicated
task. If your physical condition allows you to do so, walking along
the centre of the city is an interesting option not only to take
a closer look at the tourist attractions, but especially to get
to know the local people.
Although, if hikes are not in your travelling agenda and you rather move around using motorised means, you would neither have a problem. You will find buses and authorised taxis (meaning safe) that will take you to your hotel, the moment you set foot on Chiapas ground, be it by air or by land, both at the airport and the bus terminal.
Once you have arranged your stuff in Tuxla Gutierrez,
you can choose the units of collective transport that go along predetermined
routes, or the station wagons and microbuses that will take you
to the surroundings; they are constantly setting out.
A more peaceful option are the tours offered by tourist operators; and likewise, the possibility of taking a taxi for a few hours should not be disdained.
