USEFUL INFORMATION

What kind of clothes should I pack?
The election of the contents of your luggage has to be related to the time of the year and the zone of Zacatecas you wish to visit.
If your destination is just the state capital, pack light and not excessively warm items of clothing, except between November and March, when the cold is intense. In order to explore the archaeological zones or the beautiful natural places that surround the city, it is best to use comfortable clothes and footwear.
The situation varies if your travel impetus expands across several corners of the state; if this is the case, take into account that the conditions vary dramatically. There are regions such as the Sierra Madre where the rain showers are intense and others where cold reigns; therefore, it is recommendable to pack clothes for all sorts of climates.
No one is going to impose you a way of dressing in Zacatecas; however, it is preferable not to go into a church with short pants or with low necked dresses, in order to show respect to devotees.

Where can I ask for tourist information?
At the office of the Secretariat of Tourism of Zacatecas, located on 403 Hidalgo Avenue, second floor, in downtown Zacatecas; you can also call the following numbers: (52-492) 924-0552 / 924-0393. Another possibility is to get in contact with the service of Information and Orientation to the Tourist; you just need to dial (52-492) 924-4047.
